the housing crisis has begun. panic and drama is beginning to ensue. even tho complete pandemonium has not hit yet, it is on the way. this is the end of the calm before the storm.
to diffuse drama, one of my friends has presented a solution. she suggests that all of the apartments and dorms on campus be demolished. all undergrads would then live in the newly created common space. which would be a tent.
pro's: if u dont like ur tentmates after a while, then u just leave that area of the tent. cons: the fact that u r living in a tent... but perhaps in the winter, the tent would be replaced by an igloo.
ultimately, if this proposal came up for referendum, i'd be in favor of 1 big tent. with so much drama, who wouldnt be.
in other news, a girl on my floor is stuck in the elevator right now. she's been there for over an hour... but her friends are sitting outside the elevator and they said it's ok because she has her phone with her. apparently, the whole elevator thing is irrelevant if she has her phone.

please, this drama has been introduced to us for over 3 months now... i'm glad you've just gotten involved. i agree, it is quite stressful but think of it as an opportunity to successfully ditch wmij. see ya later suckaaah, anyway, make sure you get the most awesome dorm because that can be so worth it. we visited this dorm today and damn it was fuckin' nice.. so nice i really want to live there next year. plus you could possibly room with soobs, how awesome is that?! well, i guess she could get smelly after awhile but hey, you'll get used to it. make sure it's a big room too, considering her size.
getting stuck on an elevator with your phone is totally the difference between a good experience and a bad one. case one: you can play games, case two: you can bitch and moan about how much your life sucks to potentially everyone on your contact list, case three: it is a sole piece of technology- your connection to society. but yeah after all that counter argument, i agree in the degree of ridiculosity that story is.
i haven't been updating lately.. i suck.
haha i havent really figured out my housing plans at all...uh oh? yeah i dunno about one big tent...what would wmij do? everyone would be traumatized! then there would also be no escape from the nomad.
ahh it must suck to get stuck in the elevator. and the floor is sooo nasty who would ever sit down. so then you'd be stuck standing for like hours. talking on the phone doesnt fix that. plus if her friends are sitting by the elevator..they can talk to her that way probs.
hahaaa trent ur funny. anyways, soobs is shrinking from bikram. but finally, my escape from wmij is practically imminent!!! p.s. i miss ur updates v. much... and im still awaiting the resolution to ur id disaster.
soobs u bring up 2 unbelievably important points. wowww how did i overlook those glitches in the tent plan. and ya, elevator girl's experience might just be enough motivation for me to become a full-time stairmaster.
What if there was a tent that had multiple levels? Maybe you could put all of the annoying nude roommates at the top so that you would not have to worry about walking in on them. It might be a bit hard to get extension chords up to the top level so that they can continue to videochat in Hebrew 24/7.
I have yet to use an elevator since the start of the school year. It could be because all of the dorms on campus have a maximum of three floors. In fact, I must be the only one here that does not live in an urban area (besides Doodles). Wow, there is so much space around here. Y'all must be jealous.
