enabling minors. nbd.

today i got home from work at 5:00pm. its the first day i havent had night shift in a long time. so i took a quick nap... resulting in me just waking up now... fail. so much for getting out early. this cycle shall repeat itself in 8 hours.

today i gave 124 eighth-graders keys to their hotel rooms. 10 minutes later, a few of them came back to me, saying, guess what was in our rooms? VODKA! THANKS!!!! this may come as a surprise, but supposedly this wasnt my fault... there was no way i could have known there was going to be bottles of vodka, champagne, and wine in all of their rooms from the wedding parties on the day before. that would make me an enabler to minors, and thats a court appearance, at the minimum. it was quite an experience explaining to the adult leader of the youth group how that mistake occurred. and did i mention that this adult leader also happened to be a priest...
