ASSOXINATION

assoxination has begun. this means that over 100 stalkers/attackers/fugitives are on my floor. today is day 12, and the level of intensity has only increased since day 1.

if you are unfamiliar with this game, let me explain: certain people choose to dedicate their lives to this game. they then receive the name of someone on our floor. they then stalk that person/target. they then attack their target with a sock the next time they come into contact and thus, the target is assassinated. the attacker then receives a new target person to assassinate, and this cycle continues until someone is the last person standing. meanwhile, of coruse all targets are also killers and vice versa, so everyone is attacking/talking and simultaneously hiding from all possible suspects, so they don't get killed. basically, IT CONSUMES THEIR LIFE.

in order to save themselves, most people camp in their rooms all day and night. our hall is has been very quiet lately, except during attacks. an attack starts when someone throws a sock at their target, inevitably causing the target to scream. at the sound of a scream, people come running out of their rooms with their own socks, and instantly, our hall becomes a battlefield. socks flying everywhere, people are yelling and running. 10 minutes later, after many deaths, people retreat to their rooms/base camps and resume studying.

so far, i have seen some very impressive strategies. exhibit A: there is a large number of people who only leave their rooms covering themselves with umbrellas, so their body cannot be hit by a sock. for instance, in the bathroom last night, there were 6 people brushing their teeth. this may seem to be perfectly normal, until you soon realize they are also holding umbrellas. exhibit b: many people have created passwords for their doors. in order to enter their room, you must say their password. they believe that if you knock or simply say your name, you could either a) be an impostor or b) let an impostor in accidentally, since they're probably stalking the door from nearby. exhibit c: i am not playing, but one of my friends doesn't believe me... she is sure that i am actually trying to kill her. thus, we cannot meet in person, tho phone and email contact is allowed.

we will see which strategy prevails and who is crowned as the winner. i'll keep u all posted.
