MEGA POST

i am about to compensate for the past week with a million mini posts in 1 epic post. ready set go.

VALENTINE'S DAY:
2 words sum up valentine's day at this college: male infiltration!!! guys were everyyyyyyyywhere: in the bathrooms...in the hallways... all over the dining hall... there has never been so much testosterone on my floor. story: one morning i was brushing my teeth and this guy walked in, wearing (only) his underwear, and they were not boxers. haa he was so embarrassed. later that day, i walked by him on the way to lunch and he turned around and he was like, THAT WAS HER! umm ya, maybe u shoulda put clothes on this morning.

SAFETY IN NUMBERS:
in the ongoing saga to cut down on wmij's videochatting, i have turned vcc into home of the power hour. basically, if she's not in the room, i invite everyone i know (or just happen to see) to sit in my room for power hours. the deal is that we study in silence for an hour, then take a short break, then resume studying. when wmij walks in and decides to videochat, she interrupts a power hour. consequently, she often gets awkward-ed out and chooses to leave. this example of safety in numbers has so far worked out amazingly well. also, everyone refuses to sit on her side of the room, because they're afraid they're going to get AIDS or some std from her bed. so usually a bunch of people sit on my bed and some sit on the ground. this means that when wmij comes in and sprawls out on her bed while everyone else is cramped for space, the whole situation appears to increase her evilness.

90 SECONDS OF FAME:
this "game" was soooo awkward. in the group interview for RA selection, we had to stand in front of about 100 people and talk about ourselves for 90 seconds. WHICH IS A REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG TIME, but you dont realize it until you're standing there and instantly run out of interesting things to say. some people were hilarious, though, like the girl who spent 45 whole seconds telling us how bad she was at sports, and then on the last second, she casually mentioned she was recruited to play 3 varsity sports here... but no big deal. then there was the girl who talked so fast that it was basically impossible to understand any coherent words. every time she stopped to gasp some air into her lungs, it was hilarious.

TAI CHI UPDATE:
tai chi dude is proving to be fairly passionate about tai chi. if he is faking it, he's doing an epic job. also, he has turned down the intensity in his girl-catching game. perhaps he finally realized no one wants to hear pick-up lines that relate to tai chi before 9:30 am. about time he smartened up.

THE END OF BIKRAM/THE BEGINNING OF LIFE:
bikram is over, which is kinda sad. and kinda fantastic. sometimes i almost miss it, but then i remember reducing myself to a pile of sweat every weekend and not enjoying it as much as other things in life. also, i am not willing to pay $$$$$$$$ for torture/personal improvement. thats wat college is for. instead, now i do bikram poses randomly throughout the day, either in the library when i get bored of studying or when im brushing my teeth (tho this def got awkward a few times when people walked in) or when im waiting for the elevator. for some reason, i really enjoy massaging my pancreas and standing on one leg and doing back bends, but not in an environment that only bacteria can naturally withstand.

LAUNDRY
i did my laundry on friday. i know, we've only been at school 5 weeks, but i was 4 days away from running out of socks. i knew i should've brought a bigger suitcase back to school after winter break... then i could have brought back all my socks. since laundry is so much work, i hafta do it all at once. i took 6 loads to the huge laundry room upstairs at 1pm, in the hopes that i could wash it all at the same time. of course, that was wishful thinking. in the end, i had laundry machines going on 3 different floors. i set alarms to make sure i wouldnt leave any loads in the machines, but this got to be too confusing with alarms going off practically every 15 minutes and me running up and downstairs, trying to remember what alarms went with which laundry rooms. fastforward to the dryer cycle, and i completely forgot about half of the loads... luckily i remembered at 9pm, resulting in a whole lot of wet clothes in my room. EPIC FAIL.

CONDITIONER:
yet again i have run out of conditioner. i dont even know how it happens. its not as tho donatello didnt give me enough at the beginning of the year. the shampoo and conditioner bottles are the same size, yet i go through 3 or 4 bottles of conditioner in the time it takes to use 1 shampoo bottle. ugh duane reade is soooo far away...

RA INTERVIEW:
because i have no foresight whatsoever, i thought the question 'what is ur biggest weakness?' to be completely out of left field during my RA individual interview. my response: well, i dont really work efficiently, so i often end up staying late at night to perfect things and then the next day im not really focused but i manage to stay awake tho i probably act really weird... (ramble, ramble, ramble)... basically, it was a major struggle. but when i told my RA about my answer after the interview, she thought it was really funny. umm ok then, except the interviewers did not descend from the strain of human beings that laugh. proof: someone i know told them she had too many weaknesses to choose from...and the interviewers didnt laugh at the joke. they were like, 'feel free to elaborate on them all, we have a lot of time.' ahhhh awkward...

THIS WEEKEND:
trent and mkat came to nyc! it was bunches of fun. tho we ate at many cheap (for nyc), but excellent restaurants, i counteracted all that saving by losing a metrocard that still had 20$ on it. soobs says i'll find it, but idk. also we didnt get much sleep, as expected, and consequently i have fallen asleep on the subway twice in two days. luckily, both times i woke up by 96th street and managed to get off the train before harlem and the bronx.
on saturday, we all went to the ny public library, which completely violated my idea of a library. firstly, sex and the city the movie was filmed there, so its way too cool to be a library. secondly, its open til 6pm, but there should be a law that libraries cant close before 2am, since only slackers and efficient people leave the library before 6pm. thirdly, there were many raunchy statues and paintings, so the nypl should really be classified as a museum.

PROCRASTINATION:
procrastination is at an all time high today. i have 3 papers due this week, but i easily found the time today to watch the grey's anatomy episodes that i've missed. right now, i could also be writing those papers, but this post is wayyy more important. in a few minutes i could put on a little black dress and go to the academy awards party on my floor, or i could write a paper. hmmm what will i choose... ha lets just pretend that im actually going through the decision-making process on that one.

ok thats all i can think of right now, but its sufficient since this post probably beats all of le franq's posts put together.

wow. epic post. sadly i have no time to comment more, since i have like 36 min to study for my midterm before i crash...or else theres a 90% chance i will fall asleep during it tomorrow.

you ran out of conditioner..? how is that possible? im shocked that donatello didnt foresee this..

hahaah safety in numbers..thats amazing.

ohh..procrastination. yup, i managed to not do anything today. then i went out for a 2.5 hour dinner with my PHE group, and we all ate so much we felt sick. it was soo worth it though, omg you have no idea.

yesss i finally got caught up with grey's too! :)

oops forgot that i was going to leave a really short comment and now...30 min left. ahh!

That post was Epic! Mostly due to how little you used the word "epic" compared to your other posts.

When you say that the guy in the bathroom was not wearing boxers I hope that you did not mean that he wass wearing a man thong, because that might be embarrassing.

I am sure Le Franq would be happy to sit (or lay) on WMIJ's bed if he were to come to one of your power hours, but you would probably have to keep him from getting naked when she returns.

Also, are you aware that "power hour" has completely different connotations at my school?
Let's just say that the only thing that you are studying is the bottom of an empty shot glass.

Another idea for the simulation room is to hit the Nomad with a crowbar to show her what it feels like to deal with her all day (Personally, I believe that she is very nice, and spending time with her is more like getting slowly smothered with a pillow than hit with a crowbar).

le franq is forever linked to you, so this mega post was unnecessary. however, it was greatly greatly enjoyed so i encourage you to have a repeat of this event. thus, i devote this mega comment to you.

[vday] i kept reading "that was her" as "that washer" and got really confused. but yeah, he practices the art of subtlety v.well.

[safety in numbers] that is brilliant. however, i do believe that i recollect arjun describing a v.different type of power hour that he part took in last december. a windancer power hour sounds v.productive and i might have to introduce that here. however, due to my short attention span, i think i'll halve it to 30 minutes. too bad i didn't get to body slam wmij this past weekend.

[90s fame] some people have the natural talent of making up funny shit on the spot. i'm just a little envious.

[nomad] haha nomad was chillin' with arexis and a bottle of rum in the laundry room. i wonder what donatello would think of the nomad. anyway, i thought that the nomad was named nomad for never being there so how is it that bad to room with her? this party is clearly an attempt for self appreciation on her part.

[taichi] i'm glad you've been awake enough to attend taichi. do you have any skips left?

[end of bikram] yeah, i saw some of those random poses that took place during the day. potential awkwardness may ensue, but more likely, pretentiousness. only pretentious people do yoga.

[laundry] you need a timer that lab technicians use. they're quite marveous and versatile in usefelness. i use one for my laundry and never get confused. that in mind, i have a lot less laundry to do compared to you.

[conditioner] i actually use less conditioner than shampoo. it's quite odd.

[ra interview] knock on wood, i hope you get it! the weakness question is always a bunch of shit. i think it's best to dodge that type of question by portraying a really weak weakness, if that makes sense, followed by a solution for improvement.

[weekend] that is quite unfortunate. le franq told me to buy a shit ton of money on my metro card but i'm not really there v.often, so i didn't really see the point. basically, it was a statement without substance. but he was feeling kinda bad from all the milk he drank the night before so i can see why he would say such a ridiculous statement. i had a similar commentary on the nypl concerning point three. great minds think alike.

[procrastination] oscars. million dollar curtain. i want a piece of it.

soobs, tell me the restaurant u went to? it sounds epic. im so glad u had ur priorities right on sunday: grey's, then, if possible, work.

39, if le franq gets anywhere near wmij's bed, he will be forever exiled for doing the naked man. also, ur right, perhaps being with the nomad is like being smothered with a pillow, but u were not in her presence long enough to suffocate to death. i will be sure to add that activity to the party tho.

trent, u win the best comment ever award. yup, i am copying u and handing out awards. my responses: 1. wait i didnt remember that arjun did power hours. ummm ya he wasnt the inspiration for this kind of power hour. 2. u should be thanking the gods u didnt meet a conscious wmij this weekend. 3. omg donatello would LOVE the nomad. they're v. similar. 4. the nomad's roommate has only been alone in their room like 3 times the whole year, because the nomad can never ever be left alone. 5. wat can i say, im pretentious these days. 6. i do need a lab technician timer! 7. dude the RA acceptance rate is 8%. at that rate, it might as well be negative, because its gonna take a miracle to get it. 8. ya, musta been all that milk...
